Search for robber and sexual predator

HYATTSVILLE, Md. (WUSA9) -- Police are looking for a suspect in connection to a robbery and sexual assault incident today.

Police are investigating two separate sexual assaults committed by the same suspect near Chillum around 1:15 p.m. on Tuesday. 

Police say the suspect approached two women in the 6700 block of Belcrest Road and pulled out a handgun. He forced the women into a nearby wooded areademanded property from the women and then sexually assaulted one of them. During the assault, the suspect was startled and ran away.

Less than a 100 yards away and only a short time later, the same suspect approached two males and a female. He displayed a handgun, demanded property and then sexually assault the female victim, police said.

The suspect then ran away. 

Patrol officers, and several K9 teams, began an intense search for the suspect. 

The suspect currently remains at large and is described as a Hispanic male, approximately 30 years old, 5'6" to 5'10", with a slim build. He was last seen wearing camouflage pants and a red baseball cap with black or blue brim, police said.
